Photo depicts the ruins of an ancient place of worship situated at the heart of a dense forest in the Talesh region of Gilan province, northern Iran, July 17, 2022.

Locally called, Espi Mazget (“White Mosque”), the crumbling stone monument is believed to be once a vast fire temple during the Sassanid era (224–651).
